Observation counts
A successful outing can mean watching activity from a comfortable distance, then leaving. Your dog does not need to greet every person or animal. Pick a setting with room to move away and an easy route home.
Let the response guide the next step
Notice whether the dog can explore, take a familiar reward and recover after a surprise. If it seems overwhelmed, increase distance or end the session. Avoid forcing contact to prove that an experience is harmless.
Coordinate the puppy plan
Ask your veterinarian how to balance early experiences with local infection risks. A suitable class should explain its health requirements and handling methods. Keep a short record of situations that went well and those to discuss with your trainer.
