Choose for the intended situation
A basket-style muzzle may allow panting and rewards when correctly selected and fitted. Restrictive fabric designs are not suitable for ordinary exercise. Ask a knowledgeable professional to assess fit and intended use for your individual dog.
Introduce it before it is urgently needed
Build comfortable associations in short sessions and allow the dog to approach the equipment voluntarily. Do not first introduce a muzzle during an already frightening event if you can plan ahead. Never leave a muzzled dog unattended.
Check the local rule directly
Requirements can depend on location, transport provider and an individual control order. Contact the relevant authority instead of assuming that every Cane Corso has the same obligation everywhere. A muzzle is management equipment; it does not remove the need for distance, supervision or behavior support.
